Find the right type of facelift for you...
There are many types of rejuvenation procedures for the face and neck. The simplest is liposuction of the neck. This procedure is best for a younger person with excess fat and good skin elasticity. A minifacelift is best for a person with only minimal sagging of the jawline and a pretty good neck. The minifacelift (or the multitude of named quick lifting procedures advertised on TV and elsewhere) does not include significant dissection in the neck so any improvement there is usually temporary. If the neck skin is loose, then you will need a full necklift or a lower face and neck lift. These usually nonpainful procedures are much better at addressing a sagging neck and give a result that lasts for years, not months. After all, if you are paying the money and going through the recovery, why not get the best result possible? Dr. Miller would be happy to discuss all of these options with you at a free consultation.
