There are many types of rejuvenation procedures for the face and neck. The simplest is liposuction of the neck. This procedure is best for a younger person with excess fat and good skin elasticity. A minifacelift is best for a person with only minimal sagging of the jawline and a pretty good neck. The minifacelift (or the multitude of named quick lifting procedures advertised on TV and elsewhere) does not include significant dissection in the neck so any improvement there is usually temporary. It is extremely important to tailor a facelift procedure to fit the individual patient. Many patients may do well with what is called a mini-facelift (S-lift, weekend facelift).
